  1. According to the Question:
    a=1-1/n
    a=(n-1)/n
    d=1-2/n-1+1/n
    d=1/n

    Sum
    =n/2(2a+(n-1)d)
    =n/2[2(n-1)/n+(n-1)-1/n]
    =n/2{[2(n-1)-(n-1)]/n]}
    =n/2[(n-1)/n]
    =1/2(n-1)
