If (x+2),2x,(2x+3) are three consecutive terms of an AP, find the value of x.

  1. A.P  =  x+2 ,  2x , 2x+3

    d=  a2 – a1 =  a3 – a2

    2x – (x+2)   =  2x + 3 – (2x)

    2x – x – 2 = 2x + 3 – 2x

    x – 2  =  3

    x  =  3 + 2

    x = 5
