let s be the total number of sample space
if two diced are rolled then the total number of sample space n(s)=6²=36
sample spaces when the sum on the dice is 5
n(B)= { (1,4),(2,3),(3,2),(4,1)} = 4
P(B)=n(B) / n(S)
=4/36
=1/9
P(sum=5) :
The favourable outcomes ={(3,2),(1,4)}
Number of favorable outcomes =2
∴ Probability of getting a sum 5 =P(sum=5)=236=1/18
