Solve for x and y: 2x-y+3=0, 3x-7y+10=0

This question is from linear equations in two variables in which we have been asked to find the value of x and y from the given equations 2x-y+3=0, 3x-7y+10=0

Kindly give me a detailed solution of this question

  1. 2xy+3=0...(1)
    3x7y+10=0....(2)

    Let us use elimination method to solve the given system of equations.
    Find the value of y from equation (1) and substitute the value in (2).

    From (1)
    y=32xy=2x+3
    And

    3x7(2x+3)=10
    3x14x21=10
    11x=10+21=11
    x=11/-11=1
    and y=2x+3

    y=2(1)+3=2+3=1
    y=1

    Answer : x=1 and y=1
