This is the basic and conceptual question from quadratic equation chapter in which we have given a equation ad²(ax/b+2c/d)x+bc²=0 and we have been asked to show that x=-bc/ad is the root of the equation
Kindly solve the above problem in detail
RS Aggarwal, Class 10, chapter 4A, question no 4
Given ad²(ax/b+2c/d)x+bc²=0 … (1)
x=−bc/ad is solution of equation (1), if it satisfy the equation.
ad²(−bc/bd+2c/d)×−bc/ad+bc²=0
(−bcd+2bcd)/bd²×−bcd+bc²=0
bcd/bd²×−bcd+bc²=0
−bc²+bc²=0
Which is true
So x=−bc/ad is a solution of given quadratic equation
