How to Find a Number of Terms in an Arithmetic Sequence ?

Well i know how to find the General term of an AP using the formula general term a(n)=a+(n-1)d, but i am not able to understand how to find number of terms in an Arithmetic Sequence. Do we have another formula or we have to use the same formula please help me to solve this simple question NCERT maths class 10th chapter 5, Arithmetic  Progression.

  1. All you need to do is plug the given values into the formula tn = a + (n – 1) d and solve for n, which is the number of terms. Note that tn is the last number in the sequence, a is the first term in the sequence, and d is the common difference.
