In the given problem shape of the object is sphere to find answer of this question need to use sphere volume formula. Question from RS Aggarwal book chapter volume and surface area of solid, page number 810, exercise 17B, problem number 15
How many lead balls, each of radius 1 cm, can be made from a sphere of radius 8 cm?
A solid sphere of radius, R = 8 cm
To make spherical balls of radius r = 1 cm
Volume of the sphere = [4/3] πr³
sum of the volumes of n spherical balls = The volume of the solid sphere
n * [4/3] πr³=[4/3] πR³
n * [4/3] πr³ = [4/3] π * 8³
n * r³ = 8³
n * 1³ = 8³
n = 512
∴ 512 balls can be made of radius 1 cm each with a solid sphere of radius 8 cm.
