  • 0

This is the basic and exam oriented question from polynomials in which we have given a polynomial x²+x-p(p+1) and we have to find the zeroes of the given polynomial.

Kindly give me a detailed solution of this question

  1. Let f(x)=+xp(p+1)
    above polynomial can be written as ,

    =+(p+1)xpxp(p+1)
    =x(x+(p+1))P(x+(p+1))
    =(xp)(x+(p+1))

    to find the zeroes of f(x), put f(x)=0

    (xp)(x+(p+1))=0

    either (xp)=0 or (x+(p+1))=0

    x=p or x=(p+1)

    hence the zeros of the given polynomial are p and (p+1)
