  1. Given line: 3x + 5y + 15 = 0

    5y = -3x – 15

    y = (-3/5) x – 3

    So, slope (m) = -3/5

    The slope of the line parallel to the given line will the same -3/5

    And, the line passes through the point (0, 4)

    Hence, equation of the line will be

    y – y1 = m (x – x1)

    y – 4 = (-3/5) (x – 0)

    5y – 20 = -3x

    3x + 5y – 20 = 0
