Check which of the following are solutions of the equation x–2y = 4 and which are not: (i) (0, 2). Q.3(1)

Today i am solving the ncert class 9th solution of chapter linear equations in two variables . How i solve the exercise 4.2 question number 3(1) . Find the best and easiest solution of this question also give me the best solution of this question. Check which of the following are solutions of the equation x–2y = 4 and which are not: (i) (0, 2).

  1. (x,y) = (0,2)

    Here, x=0 and y=2

    Substituting the values of x and y in the equation x–2y = 4, we get,

    x–2y = 4

    ⟹ 0 – (2×2) = 4

    But, -4 4

    (0, 2) is not a solution of the equation x–2y = 4
