a = – 1, d = 1/2. Find the first four terms of the A.P.

The question is of NCERT, Ex. 5.1 Q.2 (iv). In the given question you have to find out the first four terms from the information which has been provided above . This question is from of A.P.

    a = – 1, d = 1/2

    Let trhe A.P be a1, a2, a3, a4, a5 …

    a2 = a1+d = -1+1/2 = -1/2

    a3 = a2+d = -1/2+1/2 = 0

    a4 = a3+d = 0+1/2 = 1/2

    The first 4 terms of the A.P are -1, -1/2, 0 and 1/2.
