  1. given data

    the radius of spherical marble, r = 1.4/2 = 0. 7 cm

    the radius of the cylindrical vessel, R =7/2 cm = 3. 5 cm

    the rise in the level of water in the vessel be h.

    volume of 150 spheres = volume of cylindrical rise in water

    [4/3] πr³ = πR²h

    [4/3]*[22/7]*[0.7]³ *150 = [22/7]*[7/2]²*h

    h = ( [4/3]*[22/7]*[0.7]³ *150) / ( [22/7]*[7/2]²)

    h = 68.6/12.25

    h = 5.591 cm

    h = 5.6 cm

    ∴ the rise in the level of water in the vessel is 5.6 cm
