Without actual division show that the following rational number is a nonterminating decimal 129/(2²×5³×7²)

This is the basic and conceptual question from real numbers chapter in which we have given a rational number 129/(2²×5³×7²) and we have to prove that the given rational number is a non terminating decimal.

Kindly solve the above problem in detail

  1. 129/(2²×5³×7²)

    2,5  or 7 is not factor of 129 so fraction is in its simplest form.
    and, (2^2×5^7×7^5)≠(2^m×5^n) in denominator

    hence given fraction is non -terminating repeating decimal.
