Using prime factorisation, find the HCF and LCM of 12, 15 and 21

One of the most important and conceptual question from real numbers chapter in which we have given three numbers 12, 15 and 21 and we have been asked to find the HCF and LCM of the given numbers by using the method of prime factorization

  1. prime factors 12,15,21

    12=2×2×3=×3
    15=3×5
    21=3×7

    HCF(12,15,21)=3
    LCM(12,15,21)= ×3×5×7=420
