  1. Given common radius, r = 7 cm

    Height of the cone, h = 4 cm

    Height of the cylinder, H = 4 cm

    Volume of the solid = Volume of the cone + Volume of the cylinder + Volume of the hemisphere

    = (1/3)r2h +r2H + (2/3) r3

    = r2((h/3) + H + (2r/3))

    = (22/7)×72×((4/3)+4+(2×7)/3)

    = (22×7×((4+12+14)/3)

    = 22×7×30/3

    = 1540 cm3

    Hence the volume of the solid is 1540 cm3.
