Solve the equations graphically: 3x+y+1=0, 2x-3y+8=0

  • 1

This is the basic and conceptual question from linear equations in two variables in which we have given that 3x+y+1=0, 2x-3y+8=0  and we have to solve this question in graph

Kindly solve the equations graphically

  1. 3x+y+1=0….(1)
    2x3y+8=0……(2)

    Isolate x from equation (1) and find the value of x and y.
    3x+y+1=0
    or y=3x1

    x:     0 1   2
    y:  1   2     5

    Similarly, isolate x from equation (2) and find the values of x and y.
    2x3y+8=0
    x=(3y8)/2

    x: 4 1    2
    y:   0   2    4

    Graph:
    Both the lines intersect each other at point (1,2).
    So, x=1,y=2
