An Important Question of M.L Aggarwal book of class 10 Based on Equation of a Straight Line Chapter for ICSE BOARD.
You have to Prove that the line through two given co-ordinates are parallel to the line through another two co-ordinates.
This is the Question Number 24, Exercise 12.2 of M.L Aggarwal.

Let the slope of the line through (0, 0) and (2, 3) be m1
So, m1 = (y2 – y1)/ (x2 – x1)
= (3 – 0)/ (2 – 0)
= 3/2
And, let the slope of the line through (2, -2) and (6, 4) be m2
So, m2 = (y2 – y1)/ (x2 – x1)
= (4 + 2)/ (6 – 2)
= 6/4 = 3/2
It’s clearly seen that the slopes m1 = m2
Thus, the lines are parallel to each other.
