  1. Consider BFCB and parallelogram ACFG

    BFCB and parallelogram ACFG are lying on the same base CF and between the same parallels CF and BG.

    ∴ar (ACFG) = 2 ar (∆FCB)

    ∴ar (ACFG) = ar (CYXE) [From equation (vi)] … (vii)
