  1. Given Height of the cylinder, h = 7 cm

    Volume of the cylinder, V = 448 cm3

    r2h = 448

    ×r2×7 = 448

    r2 = 448/7 = 64

    r = 8

    Lateral surface area = 2rh

    = 2××8×7

    = 112 cm2

    Total surface area = 2r(r+h)

    = 2××8×(8+7)

    = 2××8×15

    = 240 cm2

    Hence the lateral surface area and the total surface area of the cylinder are 112 cm2 and 240 cm2.
