    Given: Polynomial = (ax2 – 6x – 6)

     

    Concept Used:

     

    For a quadratic polynomial,

     

    P(x) = ax2 + bx + c

     

    Sum of the roots 

     

    The product of roots 

     

    Explanation:

     

     

     

    –6 = 4a

     

     

     

    Hence, the value of a is –3/2.
