If two lines are perpendicular, then the product of their slopes is -1

Now, slope of the line y = 3x + 7 is m

_{1}= 3And,

The slope of the line: 2y + px = 3

2y = -px + 3

y = (-p/2) x + 3

m

_{2}= -p/2As the lines as perpendicular,

⇒ m

_{1}x m_{2}= -13 x (-p/2) = -1

p = 2/3

Thus, the value of p is 2/3.
