If A = 45° verify that cos 2A = 2cos^2 A -1 = 1 – sin^2 A

  • 0

This is the basic and conceptual question from trigonometric ratios in which we have given A = 45°

We have to prove that cos 2A = 2cos^2 A -1 = 1 – sin^2 A

  1. A=45 then 2A=90

    cos2A = cos90=0

    2cos^2A1 = 2cos^2 451

    =2(1/√2)^21
    =11
    =0

    1sin^2A
    =12sin^2 45
    =12×(1/√2)^2
    =11
    =0

    cos 2A =2cos^2A1 =12sin^2A.
