  1. Given, equation of line: y/2 = 3x – 6

    And, it passes through the point (a, 2a)

    Hence, it satisfies the line equation

    So,

    2a/2 = 3(a) – 6

    a = 3a – 6

    2a = 6

    Thus, a = 3
