  1. (i) Given radius of the sphere, r = 14 cm

Surface area of the sphere = 4r2

    = 4×(22/7)×142

    = 4×22×14×2

    = 2464 cm3

Hence the surface area of the sphere is 2464 cm2.

(ii) Given radius of the sphere, r = 10.5 cm

Surface area of the sphere = 4r2

    = 4×(22/7)×10.52

    = 1386 cm3

Hence the surface area of the sphere is 1386 cm2.
