A company declares 8 percent dividend to the share holders.
If a man receives a Rs. 2840 as his dividend,
so we have to find the nominal value of his shares.

  1. Given that :- rate of dividend = 8%

    And amount of dividend = Rs. 2840

    Terefore nominal value of shares =Amount of dividend *100/rate

    =(2840 × 100)/8

    =Rs. 35500
