    Given,

    9x– 3x – 2 = 0.

    ⇒ 9x– 3x – 2 = 0.

    ⇒ 9x2 – 6x + 3x – 2 = 0

    ⇒ 3x (3x – 2) + 1(3x – 2) = 0

    ⇒ (3x – 2)(3x + 1) = 0

    Now, either 3x – 2 = 0 ⇒ x = 2/3

    Or, 3x + 1= 0 ⇒ x = -1/3

    Thus, the roots of the given quadratic equation are x = 2/3 and x = -1/3, respectively.
