3x+2y=12….(1)
5x−2y=4……(2)
Isolate x from equation (1) and find the value of x and y.
3x+2y=12
3x=12−2y
Similarly, isolate x from equation (2) and find the values of x and y.
5x−2y=4
5x=4+2y
or x=(4+2y)/5
Graph:
Both the lines intersect each other at point (2,3).
So, x=2,y=3
