This question is taken from linear equations in two variables in which we have given two equations 2x+y=6 and 6x+3y=18 and we have to show graphically that the following given systems of equations has indefinitely many solutions
Kinky give me a detailed solution of this question
RS Aggarwal, Class 10, chapter 3A, question no 24
2x+y=6….(1)
6x+3y=18……(2)
Isolate y from equation (1) and find the value of x and y.
2x+y=6
or y=6−2x
Similarly, isolate x from equation (2) and find the values of x and y.
6x+3y=18
or x=(18−3y)/6
Graph:
Both the lines coincide each other.
This system has infinitely many solutions.
