In the figure given below, DE∥BC area of triangle ABC is 18 cm2 find the area of trapezium DBCE

In the given figure we are to find the area of trapezium if  DE∥BC area of triangle ABC is 18 cm2 by using the properties of similarities.

      In the figure given below, DE∥BC area of triangle ABC is 18 cm2 find the area of trapezium DBCE

      Therefore,

      Area of trapezium = Area of ΔABC – Area of ΔDEB

      =18-2

      =16 cm2
