      Given DE || AC
      In ΔABC-

      BE/EC = BD/AD         [1]

      AND DE ll AC

      In ΔBEA –

      BF/FE = BD/AD       [2]

      From [1] AND [2]

      BE/EC = BF/FE

      Hence proved.
