  1. Given dimensions of the cuboidal solid = 9 cm× 11 cm× 12 cm

    Volume of the cuboidal solid = 9×11×12 = 1188 cm3

Diameter of shot = 3 cm

    So radius of shot, r = 3/2 = 1.5 cm

    Volume of shot = (4/3)r3

    = (4/3)×1.53

    (4/3)×(22/7)×1.53

    = 297/21 cm3

Number of shots made from cuboidal lead of solid = 1188÷(297/21)

    = 1188×21/297

    = 84

Hence the number of shots made from cuboidal lead of solid is 84.
