  1. Given, the equation of straight line passes through (-1, 2) and having slope as 2/5

So, the equation of the line will be

    y – y1 = m (x – x1)

    Here, (x1, y1) is (-1, 2)

    ⇒ y – 2 = (2/5) [x – (-1)]

    5 (y – 2) = 2 (x + 1)

    5y – 10 = 2x + 2

    Thus, the line equation is 2x – 5y + 12 = 0.
