sir this is a question from the book -ML aggarwal( avichal publication)class 10th , chapter3, shares and dividends
Kindly solve this question what sum a person should invest in Rs 25 shares, If he sells at Rs 36 and obtains an income of Rs 720,
it is given that dividend declared is 12%.
we have to find the percentage return on his income. please provide the explanation.
Q no. 7 exercise 3 , ML Publication, share and dividends
NV = Rs 25
MV = Rs 36
div% = 12%
income = NoS × div% × NV
720 = NoS × 12/100 × 25
Nos = 240
Investment = NoS × MV = 240 × 36 = Rs 8640
Now,
Return % = (income/investment) × 100 = (720/8640)×100 = 8.33%
