Why do students from top-notch schools in India (Doon, Welham, Bishop Cotton school of Shimla and Mayo College of Ajmer) not prefer IISC, IITs, BITSs and Other A-Grade Science and Engineering Colleges for their undergraduate studies?

I have noted this thing really a lot of times that most of the pass-outs and alumni from the best International and Boarding schools (the list includes schools like:

  • Scindia School,
  • Mayo College,
  • Doon School,
  • Woodstock School,
  • Welham Girls School

These students from top-notch schools in India do not prefer IISC, IITs, BITSs and Other 1st tier Science and Engineering Colleges for their undergraduate studies?
