1 Answer

  1. x+y=3.....(1)
    4x3y=26....(2)

    Isolate x from equation (1), we get
    x=3y

    Substituting the value of x in equation (2).
    4(3y)3y=26
    124y3y=26
    7y=14
    y=2

    Solve for x
    x=3y=3(2)=5

    Answer : x=5 and y=2
