Solve for x and y: (2x+5y)/xy=6, (4x-5y)/xy=-3

This question is from linear equations in two variables in which we have been asked to find the value of variables x and y from the given equations (2x+5y)/xy=6, (4x-5y)/xy=-3

  1. Equation 1🙁2x+5y)/xy=6

    2x+5y=6xy …….. (1)

    Equation 2🙁4x5y)/xy=-3
    4x5y=3xy …….. (2)

    Adding both the equations, we get 6x=3xy
    y=2

    Substituting value of y in (1) we get
    2x+10=12x
    x=1
