Solve for x and y: 2x+3y+1=0, (7-4x)/3=y

  • 0

One of the most important and conceptual question from linear equations in two variables in which we have to find the value of variables x and y from the equations 2x+3y+1=0, (7-4x)/3=y

Kindly give me a detailed solution of this question

1 Answer

  1. 2x+3y+1=0...(1)

    (7−4x)/3=y...(2)

    Put value of y in (1), we get
    2x+3(7−4x)/3+1=0
    2x+7−4x+1=0
    x=4

    from (2):
    (7−4(4))/3=y
    y=−3

    Answer : x=4 and y=−3
