Show that the progression given below is an AP. Find the first term, common difference and the next term. 9,15,21,27,……

In the given series we have been asked to find the first term, common difference and the next term

I) 9,15,21,27,......

II) 11, 6, 1, -4, ….

III)  -1, -5/6, -2/3, -1/2,….

IV) √2, √8, √18, √32,….

V) √20, √45, √80, √125,….

  1. i) Given progression is 9,15,21,27,.....
    Here, 159=2115=2721=6 (which is constant)
    As common difference is same the given progression is an AP.
    Here first term is 9.
    Common difference is 6 or d=6
    Next term =27+d=27+6=33
