If 3 is a zero of the polynomial 2x²+x+k, find the value of k.

This is the basic and exam oriented question from polynomials in which we have given a polynomial 2x²+x+k and we have to find the value of k if 3 is one of its zeroes.

Kindly give me a detailed solution of this question

  1. Given p(x)=2+x+k

    x=3

    Put x=3

    p(3)=2(3+(3)+k

    2(3+(3)+k=0

    2.9+3+k=0

    18+3+k=0

    21+k=0

    k=21
