  • 0

This is the basic and exam oriented question from linear equations in two variables in which we have given two equations x-ky=2, 3x+2y+5=0 and we have to find the value of k and also we have to solve the equations in such a way that it has a unique solution

  1. x+ky=2.....(1)
    3x+2y+5=0....(2)
    Here,
    a1=1, b1=k, c1=2
    a2=2, b2=2, c2=5
    System has unique solution.
    Now
    a1/a2≠b1/b2
    ⇒1/3≠k/2
    k≠2/3
