Book RS Aggarwal, Class 10, chapter 14, question no 1

Trigonometry

Height and distance.

Here, AB is the height of a tower.

⇒ CB=20m

⇒ Now, tan60o=AB/CB

⇒ √3=AB/20

∴ AB=20√3m

∴ Height of a tower is 20√3m.
